The expedition's path took Sacagawea back to the Shoshoni tribe of her childhood. There, she was re-united with her brother who was now a chief. He made sure the expedition was well taken care of with horses, foods and wintertime shelter. Without his kind help, Lewis and Clark may never have completed their journey.
